Problem
At 19, Steve Jobs faced a period of existential uncertainty, having dropped out of college and feeling lost about his purpose in life. During his time in India, Jobs encountered the concept of "prajna," or transcendent wisdom, which prioritizes intuition over intellect. This philosophy shaped his decision-making process, enabling him to trust his instincts, even when they contradicted market norms. Additionally, Jobs observed the joy Indian villagers found in simplicity, an insight that became a cornerstone of Apple's approach. By refining products to their essence and removing unnecessary features, Jobs turned simplicity into a defining strength, evident in Apple's product design, marketing, and organizational processes.
